We will be convening for another session of “Why Luther?” this Sunday, August 13, after worship during fellowship time. This week we will be looking at the Augsburg Confession 1530. The Augsburg Confession is the document which has the utmost importance in the Ecumenical undertakings of the Church because it is the most straightforward distillation of the Lutheran faith. As such, it is well worth our time to go over its history, authorship, and relevance for today, as well as look at the Roman Catholic Confutation of this work.
