NOTE:  Thrivent will match your donation dollar for dollar – up to $1 million. This matching opportunity will run until the match is met or until Dec. 31, 2018, whichever comes first.  You may visit the Thrivent Disaster Relief | Charitable Giving website and follow instructions for making donations to Lutheran Disaster Response (ELCA) or other qualified relief organizations.  You may also give directly to Lutheran Disaster Response (see below), but to take advantage of the dollar for dollar match, you will need to donate through Thrivent.

Your gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response, designated for “Hurricane response”, will be used entirely (100 percent) for direct response until it is complete. Together, we can help provide immediate and long-lasting support for those whose lives have been impacted by hurricanes.

Dear friends,

The latest storm in a deadly hurricane season, Hurricane Michael, is threatening our neighbors with dangerous winds, heavy rainfall and storm surge. The storm made landfall with winds upwards of 150 miles per hour.

Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those whose homes have been devastated or who have been otherwise affected by Hurricane Michael.

Currently, Lutheran Disaster Response is monitoring Hurricane Michael and is coordinating its response with Lutheran Services Florida, the Florida-Bahamas Synod, as well as our partners and affiliates in other potentially impacted areas.

As a church, we’re ready to stand by our neighbors as they recover from this storm.
